TRIPLETT DESIGN STUDIO is a Landscape Architecture firm focusing on high end residential design and institutional work serving Connecticut, Rhode Island, and the surrounding New England areas.  Each project is an exercise in placemaking and collaboration with clients, architects, craftsman, and horticulturalists.  

 

The Position

We are seeking a Landscape Architect/Designer with 3+ years of landscape architecture experience and a passion for design to join us in a number of exciting projects where we are working in charming towns, on the farm, along the coast, and in the woods. We are a small office but growing quickly; prioritizing candidates that possess strong design skills and the ability to manage a project from site inventory, schematic design, construction documentation through administration.

Minimum Requirements

• BSLA or MLA from an accredited university

• Fully licensed or on a direct path towards licensure

• In-depth fluency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

• Strong modeling skills in SketchUp or Rhino

• Strong construction and horticultural knowledge

• Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills

• Solid organizational and time management skills 

• Ability to develop and resolve design concepts with our team

• Ability to engage with clients in a professional and friendly manner

• Project management or Construction Administration experience

 

Beneficial Skills & Experience

• Lumion, Grasshopper

• Knowledge of Northeast plants as individuals and their communities

• Landscape photography
